Over the Top Academy of Dance is a full service dance studio teaching ballet, jazz, tap dance, contemporary and Hip Hop. Located in the Alger Heights neighborhood of Grand Rapids we offer pre-school, recreation level, competitive level for kids and beginner to intermediate level adult dance programs.

The experience of being a dance student helps children develop a deeper understanding of themselves, of how they approach and overcome obstacles, of how their bodies work and how to stay healthy, of their posture, energy, attitude and facial expressions and how these things can impact the world around them. A student of dance learns to access their personal power.

When we say it more than dance, we mean it in every essence of the statement. Dance is about developing the whole person. It's about developing physical skills and habits for life. It is an opportunity to develop your mental capacity to deal with pressure and still hold your composure while expressing your best self.
