Our "Actor for an Afternoon" workshop is an acting workshop that will introduce acting and theater to your young artist! This workshop will include acting lessons, acting exercises, games, snacks, and community!
Acting and theater is a great way for your young artist to express and learn more about themselves as a performer and an individual! By jumping into theater, young artists are able to improve their speaking skills, boost their confidence, and help them learn how to make friends with new people!
What happens at an Actor for an afternoon workshop?
In theater, we call shows and productions a "play." And that is exactly what acting is... PLAY!
While learning how to be big and bold on a stage, your young artist will get a chance to move, be silly, and perform!
Your young artist will be learning how emotions can connect with movement words. They will not only learn how to stretch their improvisational skills through the power of creativity, but will also be learning about the stage, stage etiquette, and how to read and write IN a script!
